Privacy policy

Last updated September 11, 2026

This policy explains what chainrank.fyi collects, why, and what happens to it.

What we collect

  • Listing data. The URL or handle, title, description and logo you submit. This is public by design.
  • Payment data. Your wallet address, the chain, token, amount and transaction hash of each payment. Blockchains are public; we store a copy so we can credit your listing and resolve disputes. We never receive your private keys.
  • Usage data. Page views, clicks on listings, wallet connection events, and a random per-session identifier used to count how many people are on the site. We collect this with PostHog. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
  • Technical data. IP address, browser and device information in server logs, kept briefly for security and debugging.

What we don't collect

We don't ask for your name, email, or an account. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.

Why

  • To run the leaderboard, credit payments and show public click counts.
  • To keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
  • To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.

Who else sees it

  • Everyone sees listing data, ranks and click counts. Wallet addresses that paid for a listing may be shown.
  • PostHog processes usage analytics on our behalf.
  • Reown (WalletConnect) relays wallet connection sessions when you connect a wallet.
  • Hosting, database, storage and price-data providers process data as needed to run the Service.
  • Authorities, if the law requires it.

We don't sell personal data.

Cookies and storage

We use browser storage for your light/dark preference, wallet session state, and a session identifier for analytics and the online count. Essential only; no cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention

Listing and payment records are kept for as long as the board exists, because rank is cumulative and never expires. Analytics data is kept according to our PostHog retention settings. Server logs are kept for a short period.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to it. Note that data recorded on public blockchains cannot be deleted by anyone. Contact us to exercise a right; we may need to verify you control the relevant wallet.

Children

The Service is not for people under 18.

We'll post any changes here with a new date.
